rode Pierre despite the 80+ temperatures weve been having. I really wanted to ride him bareback and go through the creek or something but I cant leave the yard without a vest unless I am with someone else and I can wear a vest still cause of my sunburn and no one was available to ride with so I just schooled him in the ring for a while and swallowed some dust.

Lol! I remember that feeling! And really don't miss it! Where I ride now had a sand surface and its and indoor arena so its much less dusty. Although it does mean that most of the dust floating around is hay dust and thats bad for me, I'm allergic to it!!

...Hung out, and took my dog out to the creak we have in our back yard for a small swim, which was fun. And have been getting ready for going camping tonight, so get to let you guys know i will be away tonight and tomorrow afternoon.
Also we found out they have until June 7th to finish the house or they brake contract, so we think that is about when they will get done with it.

rode stanley for a bit and then got on Pierre bareback and rode over to my friend Hannah's house, which was nice becasue I havent done that in soo long. We used to ride over to each other's houses a lot, since she lives a few houses down the road. So I hung out there for a bit, and then in celebration of it almost being summer, we rode double over to the drive through ice cream shop and bought some ice cream. Well see this sounds all fine and dandy but it was really hot out and Pierre wanted his own ice cream and we dont give him much more than the cone, so he kept nosing at the window and I felt really bad for the lady who was trying to give us the ice cream. Plus Pierre is almost 17hh so we had to duck under the overhang. Now remember, it was almost 90 degrees today so while we were riding, our ice cream was melting all over and I had to give Pierre a mini-bath in their driveway becasue he was covered in stickyness. So that was my day since I got home.

slept in for the first time in a few weeks...im heading over to the tack shop later to replace some sponges and shampoo (Cowboy Magic = Love) and then Im heading over to my friend's house for a Pre-Memorial Day party. Its kinda lame but its this huge tradition that we have been doing since fourth grade and basically we go over to her house, pig out on junk food, watch movies, and sleepover. Its pretty fun and a great break from the pre-final-exam jitters. I wont be back online until tomorrow, so I thought I'd go ahead and post this up today.

...gave baths to 4 horses around 5 this morning and then loaded them into a trailer becasue they were invited to be in the Memorial Day parade! So we had to scrub them all, then braid them with Red, White, and Blue ribbons and use patriotic saddle pads and red white and blue wraps and a few students from one of my Mom's classes rode them...sadly none of our horses were used, they were all boarder horses (but it was still a load of fun getting them ready!) I went to the parade and we got them on and we held their horses while the director talked to them and then we watched for a bit. It was fun, and I was glad I didnt have to help get them home..it was plenty enough work just to get them there! Well thats basically it, im going to do some homework and then probably go for a hack later since it is so nice out. Oh and our cookout thing is tonight, but I might skip on that. Only 4 more days of school, 3 days of finals, and then its summer!

....Was going somewhere with my mom, when my older brother called my mom's cell phone and said that the Carbon Monoxide alarm was going off in one of the trailers, so we got home and checked it out, and then we called one of the chiefs of fire department to bring a gas meter to check on what was going on in there (because my mom didn't want to call 911 and have everyone come, because we know them all because my mom and brother are members of it and they all know our address so they would all come with the trucks and everything and my mom didn't want that, because all we need is one person and a gas meter) and he came over and did stuff with it. And so over an hour later he left saying that it is unsafe to live in right now, so unless it is fixed today, we might have to stay in a hotel again. Grr

...took Stanley out for his first (as far as we are concerned) cross country course. We started him out on some baby stuff along the trail (a fallen log and a break in the fence) but he didnt really take to it well. We were a bit disapointed since we thought he'd be a great guy for eventing, but he seems a little withheld in front of the jumps. This could be becasue he has never done cross country of any sort, or it could simply be becasue he doesnt like it or is afraid. My mom says that we can keep at it and encourage him, but it wasnt really that fun. Pierre hasnt been doing too well in cross Country for a bit either, he is a bit timid on the course, so perhaps it is me who is afraid. My mom suggested concentrating on other things for a while and setting cross country aside, but that is one of my favorite things about the summer! She said I can work on my dressage (which she thinks is getting sloppy) or my jumping (which is getting rushed in her opinion). We maybe I wouldnt be so anxious if I could do cross country! So since about 4 today, Ive been mad at my mom. Tomorrow after school she wants to do a run through with me and Pierre for jumping hunter-style, which basically means we have to look perfect and be accurate and actually try instead of just having fun. *sigh*. Anyway, I had to vent, so thanks for listening everyone!

Anytime Audrey!
Eaty I'm sorry, that really sucks!
...met up with a friend who I haven't seen in a couple of months and it went surprisingly well. We were best friends for a long time but over the last year and a bit we've really drifted. The last time we met up, it didn't go to well, it kinda just showed how much we'd both changed and that we don't have nearly as much in common any more. But we actually had a good chat today which was cool.
I also found a top I want to get to wear to my cousins wedding in the summer but they didn't have my size in the colour I wanted which means I gotta order it online - grr.

...started reading a new book called A Brief Chapter In My Impossible Life during my lunch band...has anyone else read it?
Eaty - I am soo sorry about you having to live in the hotel for the time being! Just remember how much fun hotels are on vacations though, even though its not the same. Just think of it as a mini-vacation!
Cem and horselover20693 - What is Wild Horse Valley?
