----------------
A hundred days have made me older
Since the last time that I saw your pretty face
A thousand lies have made me colder
And I don't think I can look at this the same
But all the miles that separate
Disappear now when I'm dreaming of your face
Amy watched the rain pour down in sheets against the window, there was an open text book in her lap, highlighter held loosely between her fingers and a pad with scribbled notes beside her. But all she could think about was how much she missed home, how much she missed Ty.
I'm here without you baby
But you're still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby
And I dream about you all the time
I'm here without you baby
But you're still with me in my dreams
And tonight it's only you and me
Ty looked up at the sky as the rain began. He grabbed a couple of halters off their hooks and headed for the paddock to bring the horses in. His mind was miles away though and he worked on auto pilot thinking about Amy, about how much he missed her, about how much he wanted her home.
The miles just keep rollin'
As the people leave their way to say hello
I've heard this life is overrated
But I hope that it gets better as we go
Amy gave up trying to study and got in the car the rain still pouring down but she barely noticed, all she thought of was getting home, getting to Ty. She quickly made her way on to the highway and was grateful for the lack of traffic.
I'm here without you baby
But you're still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby
And I dream about you all the time
I'm here without you baby
But you're still with me in my dreams
And tonight girl its only you and me
Ty shut the last stall door, the last horse safely in out of the rain. He didn’t notice or care that his thin t-shirt was soaked and sticking to his well defined chest or that his hair was plastered to his skull. He put the halters away, grabbed a broom and began to sweep the front yard, his mind still on Amy.
Everything I know, and anywhere I go
It gets hard but it wont take away my love
And when the last one falls
When it's all said and done
It gets hard but it wont take away my love
Amy pulled up on the drive at Heartland and quickly got out, still not noticing the rain and looked across the front yard for Ty, not seeing him she headed straight around to the back barn and saw him coming out of the hay barn instead with two haynets over his shoulder. She ran towards him calling his name.
Ty looked up hearing his name called by that so familiar voice. He dropped the haynets in time to grab her around the waist as she threw her arms around his neck and he kissed her deeply. Neither noticed the continued rain as the sun broke through the clouds and a rainbow spread across the sky. As their lips parted they smiled broadly resting their foreheads together. They were together, they were home and that’s all they cared about.
I'm here without you baby
But you're still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby
And I dream about you all the time
I'm here without you baby
But you're still with me in my dreams
And tonight girl its only you and me
