eaty - its great to hear that you are making a lot of progress with the horses
cem - I am soo sorry that someone did that! it makes my stomach churn at the thought! I hope the person gets caught..but your right, they must have known what they were doing to not get caught
today i...went for a ride with my mom and her sister who is visiting for a few days...we went down to the river and let the horses stand in it for a while which was nice and relaxing. Tonight Im going to see Ocean's Thirteen with one of my friends, whom I havent seen in a while so it will be nice. until then, Im being summoned to do barn chores for a while

Audrey- it is really going well, i Love it. I have another lesson on Monday (once again at 7 am) and then again next Friday, So i will be working with her and my friend twice a week for like the rest of the summer, but i might go see Syria every once in a while for fun, and maybe brush her a little. It is great i love her, and today i met the person who owns the race horse rescue that Syria came from, and the person is also goo friends with my friend, and so i told her that i know Syria, and she thinks it's great that i am riding her.
....I got up and went to this BBC/fair fundraiser for the fire dept, that i worked at all day, we had a Dime Toss (where you throw dimes into glasses and you get to keep the glass, so much fun, but you can spend a lot of money doing it, we used to spend like $10 on it) And i worked that all day, and we made $175.10 for the fire dept. And i am sun burned ugh. Then after i was done cleaning up, we went to a friends party and hung out there, learned something that almost no one know, but my mom knows it and so does me and two other friends, maybe one of my brothers. And Cem you would really like it i think, but i don't have a way to show you, it is a thing with paper that is really cool. i just got home, and i am ready to sleep.

...am getting Baptised and I'm really nervous about giving my testimony.
...have been rearanging my furniture in my room. I think I know how I want it now but it will be at least tomorrow maybe Tuesday before I can put it all how I want it because my mom is going to give it all a thorough cleaning.

...spent the majority of the morning riding Pierre, then I went to hose him off and he tripped over the mats in the wash stall so my mom came over and said that they needed to be restraightened and flattened and then we lifted them up and it was really gross underneath so we took the mats out and then scrubbed the concrete with garage soap and then we hosed all the mats...and well since my mom cant do anything in moderation, we had to take all 6 of the grooming stall mats up, and all 4 of the wash stall mats up and clean them. after the mats were set in the sun to dry, I went with my brother Logan up to the local show for a while and watched some of my friends.

I feel sorry for you eaty. Riding when your already in pain isn't much fun, I knwo I've done it.
It went really well thanks. It was really scary standing at the front of the Church giving my testimony though. I was really nervous and shaking all the way through not to mention that I got very, very close to tears. I actually did shed a few once I finished speaking and sat down. I sing at the youth services too and the youth minister leads the worship playing guitar, as I headed back to my seat with the other sinders he was clapping and smiled and realised I was about to break down and gave me a big hug. I swear I got more hugs from people tonight than I have in the last year combined! lol ok that might be exagerating a bit but it was still a lot!

I bet it was scary.
But i am used to riding in pain, what i don't think i have ever said is that i was born with a twisted ankle, and because of that ankle i have injured my other ankle and both of my knees, because of that ankle being in pain. So for a while i was in pain a lot of pain just walking around the house, i had days that i couldn't walk because of that ankle, and because of how i learned to post while trotting, i did it wrong and would kill my ankles doing it. But having been able to do it before doesn't mean that it is easy to do, or that i am so used to it that it doesn't bug me. It is still just as hard, and painful as it was the last time i did it in pain.

Oh right, wow, that really can't be much fun. I injured my back in a riding accident 3 or 4 years ago and riding is actually one thing that doesn't cause me much pain at all. But moving around, sitting or standing for long periods can be really painful for me. So I know what its like to be in a fair bit of pain all the time. I can imagine spending your whole life in that pain though. Although I'm going to have to spend my life in pain now because of my back.

It's not that bad in everyday life, it mostly bugs me during fencing class, or when i am out running. But it used to be worse, but in August of last year i started going to a Chiropractor, and it has helped me a lot. I can now do stuff that used to hurt, plus since then my Fencing has gotten a lot better. So it is not that bad anymore, every once in a while it will bug me when just hanging out at home. But it hasn't bugged me while riding so far, we will see how long that lasts.
...I had another riding lesson, that went really well. But for some reason i was over reacting to her doing small stuff, and feeling like i am going to fall off. I would react at the smallest things, like her starting to walk, would set me off when i knew she was going to start walking, or when she started walking faster to get back near her herd. She was something this morning, not reacting very well to stuff, but she still doesn't know that much about being ridden this way, because she is a race horse and that is the only way she is trained. I also learned how to lunge a horse, my friend taught me this morning, and it went pretty well when i figured out what i should be doing, but i still i am 100% sure about it, but i will most likely have to do it again of Friday. Also Syria sort of kicked me this morning, i was trying to pick up her feet to clean them, and she doesn't know how to do that, and she kicked out with her hind foot that i was trying to get up, and hit me in the leg, but not very hard.

Sorry your not having a great day eaty. I've had days like that with horses. I know its hard but try not to let it get to you. You'll have a better day next time. Thats cool that your learning to lunge. I was supposed to learn at college but I was ill when they were doing it which was a bit dissapointing. I know all the theory for it and how to fit the equipment, I just haven't actually lunged a horse before!
...have spent time on the computer, been to the supermarket for bread and been to the bank. Now I'm trying to decide which character to go as to a Harry Potter themed party my friends have decided to hold on Friday night for the release of Deathly Hallows.

Thanks Cem, i think i need days like it this to help me get over it. I think i was over reacting because i was tired, and i know that Syria would never really hurt me, but i think in my tiredness i was like "oh my god, i am on a untrained ex-racehorse who might start running and make me fall and brake something" when i know that i can handle staying on, and that my friend is right there to help me if something happens, plus i have been ridding on a lunge line, so i know if Syria starts to run, my friend can help. But, it was a good lesson other wise, even tho it was hard, it was still good. The lunging was fun, it is hard, but i think i only think that because it is new, but i think i will get a hang of it at some point

sorry to hear about your bad day Eaty... Im glad things went well for you the other day Cem, sorry I wasnt here sooner to ask you about it!
today I...(actually yesterday I)
...had a fairly good day. I spent the majority of the morning up at the show getting my friends ready to ride. One of my friends Maggie is showing my mom's horse Lucas, and it was really fun to see him go in amatuer jumpers, which is about 3'. They had a really good time and were entered in the jump off and ended up second over all, so I was really proud of them.
So today I...helped with some barn chores and then I rode for an hour and then helped give a horse a bath

... did just about nothing for most of the day, then had fencing class, then i started a dance class Latin dances which are by far my fave, and i am doing the class with my brother (yuck, but it was my only way to do, and my only ride to it, i hate dancing with my brother). I just got home from dancing, it was great, i really like the teacher.

sounds awesome! I love taking dance class. Sadly I dont get to much any more, but I used to take classes up until about may. I did a combination class that covered a lot of modern, jazz & tap, ballroom, and latin, and so far latin has been my favorite. Its just so fluid and loose and there is something about the music...hmm anyway, Im really jealous that you are taking classes!
so today I... got into a fight with my trainer. See a few months back my mom said that I should start back up with my old trainer if I want to seriously compete this summer and Ive been working with him once a week now for a few months and doing some local shows. Well today he came over and told my mom that Pierre and I could advance to Amatuer Owner (Which is Jumpers, 3'6") if we were serious about showing this summer (funny, seeing as summer is half over) and then he gave this speech to my mom that made it seem as if it would be the greatest thing in the world. So my mom is all convinced that Pierre and I could do it and that we would really concentrate on showing for the rest of the summer and that she could find someone to take over some of my training responsibilities if this is really what I want to do and blah blah blah. So it seems all great, and then my trainer said that Pierre would need to be moved to his farm for serious training to get away from all of this "Country Lifestyle"!!! He basically insulted my mom's life work right to her face and she just stood there and took it! I was soo furious at him! How in the world could he think we live a "country lifestyle!". We train horses for gosh sake, not cows and pigs! And he has a FARM! We have an EQUESTRIAN CENTER! I mean, maybe he is a bit more advanced in his training facilities and he has worked with some of the top riders in our area, but thats no need to insult our barn! Ugg it just made me sooo mad! I dont usually vent like this, but how could my mom just take it like that! Its like he thinks we dont do anything but sit around and sip lemonade! I wish!

Audrey that is awful!!!!, but anyway i also love Latin, i also liked ballroom, but i like Latin better, same reasons you listed I want to maybe take a swing class, but that is a maybe. I just love how free latin stuff is, i feel ballroom is all uptight, everything has to be perfect. But latin is free and you don't have to do everything perfect, plus it is way more fun. ...Hung out talked to my friend, worked outside for a bit, when to two hours of Fencing, just got home from that. I am really tired and sore.
