Lets hear about those horses!

He is beautiful, even more in person!!

So he got here safe and sound on Thursday, and because we were busy all day and wanted to let him relax there a bit longer before we meet him i did not get to meet him. And he made friends with Gus right away. Because my friend has no stalls, she dose have a run-in. But they live out in a pasture 24/7 (Unless it is really bad out, then she makes them stay inside in a little area)

But we went up there yesterday to meet him, we never walk up to him, we wanted him to come up to us. And so i was hanging out with Kitana because she is hurt and i didn't want her to have to walk up to me, and so Jimmy walked up to Kitana, and i was almost able to give him a carrot, but Canto the boss horse didn't want Jimmy to, so he chased him away. So for like 10 minutes i hung out in a i-am-not-a-threat body language, like sitting down, looking down with relaxed shoulders, kneeling away from them looking down, but he would not come up to me, witch was fine with him, he didn't really have to if he didn't want to. So that is how our first meeting went.

Then this morning we went up there to see them. And so i went up to Kitana to see her (If you can't tell, I really love Kitana, the two of us have a great bond from a few years ago that we still have so i really love her and feel bad when she is hurting) and Jimmy was not far from me and was watching me with Kitana, and i did not face him and i was relaxed and after a bit he walked closer to me, and he was about a foot away from me, i turned slowly to face him but i was looking down and i reached out wit a carrot in my hand for him, and he took it right away, so then i looked up and gave him more . We would not let my touch him at all, so that was fine with me, he will get over it in time.

So that is what is going on with him right now, i took some pics of him today, but i have yet to put them on my computer, i will do so this weekend because i have a really great one of him. So i plan to go up there tomorrow to hang out with him some more, and i will tell you guys how it goes

Cool. Judging by the progress you've had with him already I'd say he does want to be friends, he's just not sure enough that yoiu won't hurt him yet. But I'm sure he'll come around. I don't think he would have come up to you, even when you were with another horse, if he didn'[t want to trust you. I can't wait to see more pic's of him and hear how he does.

Yay this is so exciting! I havent been on in a while so I just read about the new pony...I love his name btw.

It was good to hear from you Audrey! I was wondering when you were going to say something about him , how are things going there?

So yesterday i saw him only for a tiny bit (mean about 2 minutes) and i was talking to my friend, who was just done feeding the horses and was getting the hay for them, to ask her something, and i was standing there talking to her and Jimmy just after looking at me for a moment and walked right up to me to say hello, but i didn't have any horse treats with me right then

So i plan to go up there again when i can, i am busy this week and it has been really cold lately. So i don't know when i will next see him most likely sometime this weekend.

This is just a quick update about Jimmy.

I saw him yesterday after not seeing him for a week (i was busy with i don't remember what last week) And he is such a sweetheart! But his mane and forelock have a lot of burrs in it right now, so we have to get them out sometime. He wanted to eat the other horses food, so i had to stop him from eating any with my friend it was kind of funny. So he is doing great he seems to like me, and he let me touch him which was new but great, and he ate a lot of carrots

So that is all, i don't think i will be able to see him for a while, the weather is really bad here right now, and when it is going to get better i am going to be really busy!!!! Grrrr

Well that is all for now, just to give you guys a heads up i will most likely not be around this weekend, i am busy with a lot of stuff and plus it is my birthday!, but i will try to be on at some point to wish someone a happy birthday coughcemcough.

Thanks for the update and I shall also wish a happy birthday to someone cougheatycough hehe that was subtle wasn't it?! Anyway I'm really pleased things are going so well with Jimmy even if you can't spend as much time as you want with him.

So i said i would post so here it is.

So i saw him today for the first time since my birthday, and he was wonderful! He really likes me it seems, we got there and three out of 5 horses walked up to us to say hey, and Jimmy was watching then after a little bit he walked up to my older brother, then walked up to me. And he was great at first he was shy then after a bit of apple he let me touch him on his neck a little, then he i was able to run my hand down his body and i did that for a bit, and he was fine with it. Then the other horses moved away so it was just me and him (and my mom and brother) and i got him to follow me a bit with an apple which he has never done. So today he let me touch him more and followed me and both were new. So we are getting along pretty well, i plan to visit him more, he only live like a mile from my house so i can walk there, but i have to wait to walk there till i am better (I have been sick for like three or four weeks i can't remember, and it makes it hard to breath).

So that is all, also here is a new picture of him (even if i did take it like four weeks ago lol) (also sorry that it is a little big)

oh he is such a cutie! thats great news that you will be able to visit him when you are better, im sorry you are not feeling well. It sounds like hes really learning to trust you which is excellent! Best of luck to you, he sounds like an amazing horse!

Thanks guys! Also isn't it funny when someone said what you were just thinking? That always happens at my house with me and my family.

He is so amazing, i can't wait to work with him more, so it making me try to beat this sickness out of me which is going ok.

I saw him for a tiny bit yesterday, and i was there with my friend there the whole time for the first time. and i was the first person he walked up to, not my friend who he sees everyday, but me. But he didn't really let me touch him much which was fine.
