yep! Soooooooooooooooo can't wait!!! Getting more and more excited as time goes on! I'm seeing OOTP film on the Weds before the book is out so hopefully that will get rid of some of my excitement for the book. I might just die from anticipation other wise!

I know! I wanted to go see the OOTP premiere but that's not happening. I'm kinda scared to see the movie because of how much they left out. At least I know Tonks and Remus and Sirius will all be in it at least a little. And Kreacher.... But maybe it will be better than the fourth?
I'm going to B&N's Midnight Magic Party for the release of DH and it's gonna be awesome. My head keeps spinning around over what's going to happen. Plus, I'm driving my friends nuts with the countdown. There is... 20 days, 8 hours, and 27 minutes until the release!

Yeah I'm going to Waterstones (its the major book retailer in the UK) for the Midnight release party. It should be cool.
I'm really worried about the OOTP film. I mean they cut masses out of GoF and OOTP was way longer than it. I'm really not convinced its going to come across well on screen. However I'm going to see it wiht my best friend on her birthday and shes only seen the films, not read the books, so no doubt she's going to enjoy it way more than me. And I'll probably spend about half an hour afterwards telling her how the book is way better and whats different lol!
20 days 2 hours 28 minuets!

Sweet.
I'm just relieved they actually put Tonks in the movie. I mean, in GOF they cut out Sirius who was in the book quite a bit and Tonks isn't in OOTP a lot but I guess she's important for HBP IF they actually use the hospital scene. I shall be extremely mad if they don't though. Really though, the movie should be good, even if it is really different. The movies are great when you don't compare them to the books.
What is everyone's fave pairing in the series?

Sirius was in GoF just not nearly as much as the book. And you're right the films aren't too bad if they're not compared to the books. I think they'll be hard pressed not to include the Hospital scene in HBP but then agian what make them want to cut anything out of the film is beyond me! I would be quite happy if there were like 14 films in total so they could tell everything as it is in the books! lol
My fave parings (as you know Harmony - lol) are Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione

They had better put the Hospital scene in or they're gonna get some hate mail. That's like the best (and saddest) part of the book for us R/T shippers!
My fave pairing (as you already know Cem) is Remus/Tonks. I absolutely adore that pairing. (Even to the point my friends get annoyed with me talking about them)

SPOILERS from here on in about Deathly Hallows, if you haven't yet read it and don't want to be spoiled, don't read any further! You have been warned.
I adore Deathly Hallows, it might well be my fave HP book. Its sad and seriously shocking in places (I'm still in shock over Fred's death) but very very good. And Snape was good!!!! I so didn't see that one coming until he died and the way he was with Harry as he was dying.
I love the epilouge too. I really like how its written as any other HP chapter in that it talks about the here and now rather than just listing what happened to everyone after the final battle. And of course I was jumping for joy that Harry and Ginny, Ron and Hermione ended up together and had kids! Yay! Lupin and Tonks dying was really sad but pretty expected, in my head at least, and I'm really glad Percy made up with his family.

I also really liked it, but for the first while i was like "I could stop her and not read for a while" it was going pretty slowly, then it got to the battle i was reading that part last night, and i could not put the book down it was that good, i almost stayed up last night till i was done with it, but i couldn't keep my eyes open. It really did have it's shocking points, like Fred dieing (i am also pretty shocked at that too) Mad-eye dieing really shocked me. I liked the story about Snape, i really like him more now, because it turns out he was a good guy all along and he only hates Harry because he is so much like James, and he was in love with Lily and was hoping that Harry would be more like her (i was just talking to my brother about Snape a little bit ago) I really didn't see where it was going to go with him, till when it happened, i really liked the thing where the last thing Snape said was "Look at me" just so that he could see the eyes of the girl he loved. I got really teary eyed at one point, when Harry was in he forest near the end, and the ghost-like-things were there of his parents and Sirius and Lupin, and Lily was talking to him, i for some reason got teary eyed there, but that the only part in the whole book. I liked the part when they went to see the house James and Lily died in, i thought that part was good. I really liked this book, it was better then the last (i didn't really care for Half Blood Prince).

I love Half Blood Prince! I think its great.
I cried a couple times in it but I was more shocked by some of the things that happened than anything, like Fred, Mad-Eye and Hedwig's deaths. I also really like Snape now after seeing his memories. My friend Nick dressed up as Snape when we went to the midnight release of DH and he makes a fantastic Snape! He looks so right for him its almost scary!

I was pretty shocked at those deaths, I miss Hedwig and Fred, and i sort of miss Mad-eye but not as much as the other two, because the other two have been around since the first book.. Ha, one of my brothers could maybe get away as Snape, my brother has long greasy hair (well it really is brown, but it looks black it is so dirty, i hate touching it, so i never do) but he does not have a big nose. But i do really like Snape more now then i did after that book. I think if i dressed up as anyone i look the most like Hermione, that is if i curl my hair, or someone else i don't know. Did you go dressed up as anyone?

No I dressed up as a witch dressed as a muggle, in other words I wore strange clothes! I don't really look like any of the characters. Nick doesn't usually have greasy hair but I think it was gelled to look that way. He does have really long hair though so it had to be tucked in to his collar so it was the right length, he couldn't move his neck all night becaue it pulled it out!

okay so I JUST finished the book this morning and AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH soo great!
I too, loved the ending. Of course, I loved that I could say "I told you so" to about twenty people because all along I have been saying "Harry is a horcrux, he has to die to kill Voldemort!" and I guess I was only half-right, but whatever. Its still better than my sister who thought that Harry was going to die in the first chapter and then the whole book would be the wiz world after he left it. Did anyone notice how close HP is to fascism and WWI and II? Ahh it was like one big European History Intro flashback. Anyway...I just HAVE to talk to someone about the book, so bear with me for a few minutes whilst I type...
I think why I didn't like the book in the beginning was because it seemed like I was reading a fanfic. Nothing seemed normal, and I kept saying to myself "Yeah but this isn't how its REALLY going to turn out" and then BOOM I was like "Right, this IS the real book. I forgot..."
I appreciate Snape sooo much more, and I kept thinking that I wanted him to die and then after I read about his memories and such, I wished he hadn't died. Everything about the book was great, especially the last additional chapter. I love that the pairings work out as they did, but some things were still confusing to me after a while. Like what happened to Ted Jr.? I mean, he shows up later, but still, something had to happen in between.
Okay and another thing. Did anyone notice that the dates were off? The graves said Harry's parents died in 1981. He was one, which means he was born in 1980. For him to be 17, it would have to be 1997, which was when HP 1 was published. If the dates were supposed to mean that the story was being told from 2007, then Harry would be 36 (according to the epilogue) and he would have needed to be born in 1970 instead of 1980, and his parents would need to have died in 1971. He would have been at Hogwarts from 1980-1987, which means the books took place in the 80s. However, the book says the Harry used Dudley's computer, so how is this possible. People didn't have personal computers in the 80s, did they? Of course, we could also be assuming that the books took place from 1990-1997, but that would been that 19 years later, would be year 2016, which is possible, and I didn't really think of that before I started typing this rant. I was just wondering what other's views were on this.
