Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman is probably my favorite book of all time. Its the first in a trilogy and I think its the best but all of them are very, very good.
Its told from two narratives, Callum a male Nought - the underdogs and Sephy a female Cross - the superior race. They have been best friends their whole lives but through their teens staying together becomes harder and harder as the way of life in their world interferes.
Seriously an amazing book. If you haven't read it - check it out!!
