OMG!!!! Wow, nice detective work Eaty. I'm terrified (literally) that its going to be as bad as BtH but I'm still kinda glad the series is continuing. I really hope that some of the damage is undone and we get the AMy we all know and love from the first 20 books back.

YES! I still haven't read the whole series but I can't wait for this book. I hope it makes up for BtH (haven't read that either) because I hear it's horrible but let's hope Lauren doesn't let us down again. I can't wait for it to come out!

Yeah i am also a bit scared about it, i really hope we get Amy back. I found it because i was trying to find out when the new Chestnut Hill book was coming out, and found that instead, still didn't find out when the Chestnut Hill book comes out, i was a little hyper about this.

You mean the 7th Chestnut Hill book? As of yet there's no mention of one. Or not that I can find. I discovered that the other day. Pretty surprising really.
Anyway, back to Heartland. Like I've already said. I'm really worrie dits going to be as bad, if not worse, than BtH but I'm holding on to a tiny sliver of hope that its better than BtH. I like to think that if its as bad or worse, it will be the last Heartland book I read even if more are released. But I'm pretty sure I'm lying to myself. I think it will be along time before I give up on this series, the first 20 books were too good.

I know same here, I just really hope it is better, it sounds better the BtH, but you never know with books. I love the series so much, i remember when i read the first book i couldn't stop reading and i cryed at the start and thinking in the first book that Amy and Ty belong together, and thinking at the end of the 4th they were going to kiss (Which they didn't, but i can't be the only one who thought that) And it was one of the first seires i read by myself. But i really hope they get better.

You wern't the only one who thought they'd kiss at the end of the fourth book. I thought that a kiss was coming from pretty much the start of that book!
AWG does sound slightly better, but only slightly. It does talk about 'changes at Heartland' though which worries me. I don't want Amy or Ty changing any more. They were perfectly fine the way they were before BtH!

I thought they were going to kiss at the end of book 4 too. I actually just finished re-reading that book and I love the aspects it adds to their relationship. But they don't kiss. Oh well.
I just need to get the rest of the Heartland books before I read any SE.

wow can't believe there is another special edition. really hope amy doesn't abandon heartland in this book though if it's anything like the French books i've heard of i'm sure it's just gonna be a worse continuation of BTH.

Honestly I think you're most likely right desperation. Which is a real shame becasue the series doesn't deserver to end on a bad note with these special editions. SHould have just ended with Always There. That was a good ending for the series.

yeah for me that's gonna be the final ending if it doesn't get better.

I could order it but Amazon.co.uk says it will be 4-6 weeks but I knoiw that if I wait til probably Monday another online company will probably have it in stock or be ale to deliver it by the end of the week. Just as well really, I won't have money til the beginning of the week to buy it!
Pre-warning to all, once a couple people have read the book this will become a spoiler thread. It will be clearly marked as such once there are spoilers in it, so after that it will be your own decision whether you find out what happens before you read it or not.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!! There are spoilers from here on in in this thread, only read on if you've read the book or don't mind being spoiled. If anyone who hasn't read it wants more details on what happens in the book, feel free to PM or email me.
I read A Winter's Gift today and it is actually better than BtH. I was surprised with how good it was actually. Its still not as good as the rest of the series. There's still something about it that doesn't sit right with me and particularly the stuff between Ty, Amy and Heather (who is Ty's new girlfriend). The book didn't go the way I was expecting to but the horse stuff was better and there was more of it than BtH. Overall it was an improvement and I will keep reading the series. But I still think that the series should have finished with Always There. It was the perfect ending to the series.

Yeah, i also liked it more then BtH. And i would still read Heartland after this book. And yeah i am with you that she should have stopped at Always There. The part with the twin foals, when one of died i almost cried.
